Our Story
Federation Collectibles was founded on a simple conviction: that history's most beautiful printed objects deserve to be appreciated, not buried in estate boxes or forgotten in institutional archives.
We specialise in four pillars of the antique paper world — hand-engraved and lithographed maps, finely illustrated botanical and zoological book plates, ornithological bird prints, and historical ephemera drawn from private estates and specialist auctions.
Every piece in our collection is personally sourced and examined. We attend specialist auctions and estate sales across Australia, and maintain relationships with dealers and private collectors worldwide.
Provenance & Authenticity
We do not sell reproductions. Each listing describes the item's origin, approximate date, and any notable publisher or artist attribution. Where provenance documentation exists, we are happy to share it on request.
Natural toning, foxing, and age-related marks are the signatures of authenticity — we describe condition honestly and photograph items truthfully.
Shipping & Care
Global Secure Delivery
All antique paper items are dispatched flat, acid-free wrapped, and interleaved with glassine. Maps and larger prints are rolled in archival tissue inside rigid postal tubes. Framed pieces are wrapped with corner protection and double-boxed.
Processing Time: Items are carefully packed and dispatched within 2–4 business days of purchase. A tracking number is provided via email once your order is on its way.
Insurance & Returns
All shipments are fully insured for the declared sale value. In the unlikely event of transit damage, please retain all original packaging and contact us within 48 hours with photographic evidence.
We stand by our condition descriptions. If an item significantly deviates from how it was described, we will resolve the matter promptly.
